How to get out of an approach

If you realise you are being approached by a corrupter or that a previous approach is turning into a corrupt approach, you should try to change the subject if possible, politely decline their advances, where relevant, assure the corrupter that you have any points of weakness (such as debt, gambling or drugs) they may be aware of under control and leave as soon as possible even if you have to use an excuse such as an early gym session.

You must then make a confidential report to World Rugby as soon as possible via this website or the

confidential@worldrugby.org

reporting line. If you need local support, you can also speak to your Union, Players' Association and/or the police.
